“I absolutely loved the enthusiasm with the subject matter which also made me excited to learn. She was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging and had us in an environment that was comfortable and we were able to communicate well.”
I teach courses in history and environmental studies to undergraduate students interested in past and present changes in the natural world and human history.
“Dr. Moesswilde is incredibly kind and genuinely cares so much about her students and making a valuable impact on their education. She brings enthusiasm to every class and I can tell she has a true passion for history and teaching students. I learned a lot from this class as Dr. Moesswilde consistently found ways to make the class engaging and have fun with what we are learning. ”
My teaching focuses on helping students develop skills of writing, analysis, and argumentation, as well as learning to think historically about the present. I prioritize discussion, collaboration, and experiential learning in class time and through assignments like writing briefings and developing online resources. I particularly enjoy working with first-year students as they adjust to the college environment, and I love to teach history to students who bring expertise from other disciplines.
